Before founding For The Story Vacations, Rachael worked with one of New York City's top wedding planners.

Since Rachael is married to an Irish man, she had two weddings… 7 days apart. One in Ireland, the other in her home town of Kansas City.

Before joining For The Story Vacations, Sarah ran her own wedding and event business (in fact, Rachael trusted her with her own special day). She even owned a bridal boutique. In short, nobody understands weddings better.

Have questions about your dream elopement in Europe?

  • For The Story Vacations considers Elopements to be the couple only, no guests. Intimate Wedding planning includes up to 10 guests maximum (including the couple).

  • The base planning fee includes a planned two-day experience, wedding venue sourcing, building and retaining your wedding vendor team, creation of your customized wedding day itinerary, all meal planning, and transportation.

    The planning fee does not include the price of any wedding vendors, florals, meals, or any additional bookings associated with your elopement.

  • Elopements vary by price based on a number of factors including location, time of year, vendors, and more. On average, we suggest For The Story Vacations clients budget €10,000+ for their elopement.

  • Intimate Weddings vary in price based on several factors, including location, time of year, vendors, guest count, and more. On average, we suggest For The Story Vacations clients budget €15,000+ for their intimate wedding.

  • For The Story Vacations specializes in elopements to Greece, Portugal, France, Scotland, Ireland, and Italy.

    Unfortunately we are not accepting elopements to countries not listed at this time.

  • For The Story Vacations begins working with clients on their elopement details no more than one year in advance of their wedding date. We also do not accept weddings less than six months in advance. Having an adequate amount of time to plan the details of your wedding day is key.
